Senior Chief Mwata Kazembe of the Lunda people of Luapula Province has implored members of parliament who hail from Luapula to accelerate development and ensure that the region does not lag behind.
Senior chief Mwata Kazembe says the MPs should work hard so that issues of infrastructure development in areas of roads, health and education are improved for the benefit of residents.
The chief said this when Minister Of General Education Dennis Wanchinga who is also Mambilima Member of Parliament paid a curtsey call on him at his palace in Mwansabombwe.
Meanwhile, Dr Wanchinga has assured the traditional leader of government’s commitment to developing all corners of the country, Luapula inclusive.
