The Zambia National Farmers Union -ZNFU- says it has received reports that some District Agricultural officers are selling the government procured chemicals for eradicating army worms.
ZNFU President Jervis Zimba has since advised farmers to report some District Agriculture Officers found selling the government procured chemicals.
Mr Zimba was speaking when he led a ZNFU delegation to inspect some maize fields in Katuba constituency in Chisamba district, Central province.
And during the inspection exercise, the ZNFU delegation discovered that some farmers in Katuba are using boom detergent paste to kill the army worms.
But Chisamba Agriculture Officer, Sally Chikuta has urged the farmers to buy the recommended chemicals.
